BEFORE YOU ROLL

A few useful details.

Is this a plugin or a desktop app?

Both work together. The plugin controls Studio's camera and the Windows app captures the viewport. This release is distributed directly as a local plugin, not through the Roblox Creator Store.

What resolution will I get?

The actual pixel size of your Studio viewport. Expand the viewport for a larger image. A 16:9 take crops the center; Full viewport keeps the viewport's shape. This is real-time capture, not an offline 4K renderer.

Does it hide every overlay?

Frame Studio hides the mouse pointer and supported Studio guides during camera control. Other plugins' custom guides can still appear; hide those before your take. The surrounding Studio interface stays outside the recorded crop.

Can it record audio or Play mode?

Version 1.0 records video in Studio's Edit mode. Audio and Play-mode recording are not included. Keep Studio visible; resizing or minimizing the viewport ends and saves the current take.

Why might Windows show a warning?

The early-access installer is not digitally signed. Windows may show an unknown-publisher or reputation warning. Check the download source and published checksum. Do not disable Windows security to install it.

How do I install only the plugin?

The Windows installer is the simplest option. For a manual install, place FrameStudio.rbxmx in your local Roblox Plugins folder, then restart Studio. The plugin still needs the desktop app for recording. Avoid keeping multiple installed copies.

Where are my videos and connection details stored?

Clips stay on your computer in Videos / Frame Studio. Pairing and app settings stay in your local user profile. Recording uses a loopback connection, not a cloud recording service. The download site has no sign-in or analytics scripts.

How do I uninstall it?

Exit Frame Studio from its tray menu, then remove Frame Studio in Windows Installed apps. The uninstaller removes the local plugin installed by Setup and keeps your recordings.
